There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Credits to Mala Mala.

Recently on MalaMala Game Reserve we witnessed a fascinating encounter between the Matshapiri males, the Clarendon males (Matimba) as well as one of the 6 lionesses from the Marthly Breakaway pride. Rangers Theo York, Tim van Vuuren and Pieter van Wyk talk us through the sighting.

Interesting dynamic shift once the Matshapiri males were pushed back into their territory and on a side note, thats one big lioness.
She's almost as large as the male.

Really? I'll have to look at it again, I wasn't paying attention to her. She's one of the daughters of the Majingilane.

2. The supposed fight between Mapogos and Matimbas has been discussed in detail in the Mapogos dedicated thread. Anyway, you missed something: it is assumed to has taken place on June 19th 2011.

3. Nice pictures of the Matimbas.

Edit from Majingilane:

1. That's silly. You're complaining just for the sake of it.

2. That doesn't mean he can't post info here as well. Every piece of information is valuable.

4. At least he's posting info, instead of complaining. Let the man post in peace.

1. Everyone knows that using caps on the internet is equivalent of yelling.

2. If a post is accompanied by wrong info then the value of that post is limited. Moreover such info should be corrected, like it or not.

4. I won't let anyone "post in peace" as long as he's posting wrong info and I can prove this with documents.
