Thank you for the post, I do have a few other pictures of that day as well as a mating video. I am just still trying to learn how to post and where and when :)

This is one great photo, that lover lip more forward makes his "facial expression" quite different and in a way even funny. I can´t watch this photo without grinning a bit in a good way :)

@Shadow  Actually, that the lip is fall a giveaway that he is old. at this age the lions are starting to show their aging. This Mantimahle male is around 10 years old.

The droopy lip and the contour around the eyes is black as well some expressions on his face are all giveaway of their age

Yes but this photo is still great. There are countless and countless photos of animals and still there are some which have that... something. This photo overall is just great in my opinion. There are photos of many lions way older than this one and not as eye-catching. @EverseenSA compliments from me :)

No, the 3rd male always had that lip and infact that's how I always identify him. Usually, a protruding lower lip does signify old age but not necessarily for this male.

Are all 5 Mantimahle alive and going strong?

Also, I know their territory is in the Kruger so they are seen sporadically but I have seen that all of them have been identified and each have some sort of name attributed to them. Is there any other information about the inter-coalition dynamics?

I think Honest Face was not seen for few months now (might be wrong)..

Age is starting to show on this boys, but they are still going strong..

For inner dynamics, 5th fully split at this point, Sharp Eyes is also quite separeted, while other 3 are mostly together..

Thank you so much! Appreciate the comments! I love taking pictures and videos and really want to share hundreds of shots like these but I am still struggling to understand where and how I can upload everything without bothering anyone hehe.

This 3 means trouble for S. Avocas in Kruger , 5th seems confident again with his 2 sons to reclaim his old territory and maybe is that the reason why S. Avocas lately are more in Sabi Sands...

From which pride is that lioness? Plains Camp?
