Spring is here, and so is Mr. Charleston and his brother.
On Sunday 10th September I saw the Charleston Males in Kruger National Park walking along the Sabie River marking their territory...
They were in Sabi Sands for several weeks, but hopefully they stay in Kruger again for a while...
It was good to see my favorite Male Lion again...
Share and Enjoy!

Dominance dynamics in a coalition change on a day to day bases but mazino always seems to be in the thick of the action. He is smaller but seems to be the more aggressive/dominant male of the two charleston males.

MALAMALA TODAY September 16.  2 lion sightings: 2 lionesses from Marthly pride and their 5 cubs have finally reunited at Matumi Rocks after their run-in with the Manyelethi males and Kambula pride a few days ago. The Charleston males are back! We viewed them on a buffalo kill in the Sand River south of Charleston North.
