There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I recently refreshed my Firefox install, and after I did, I can no longer see any embedded Instagram links, just an empty white box. I have been researching for days, trying to find a solution, with zero luck yet, including following all of the troubleshooting steps from IGs site. The funny thing is, it also quit working in the Duckduckgo browser at the same time, but it seems to work fine in Edge.

Anyone else seen these issues, perhaps even have a solution?

I had this before, never had this issue with Brave browser since. (another perk is built-in adblock, so I don't even know youtube has ads)

Thank you for that! I will check out Brave browser, because I am surely not going to use Edge. It is funny how it broke both Firefox and Duckduckgo, as both were working fine before the refresh. DDG has the same thing, a built in adblock, and they even have their own player for watching YT videos with zero ads, and YT does not see that I have an adblocker running when I play them through there. I haven't seen a YT ad in a few years, which is why I cannot watch YT on my phone, there is no way to block ads on it. Seems they want to make up for all the ads I missed on PC, because YT videos on my phone there is an ad every couple of minutes. A 10 minute video will have 4-5 ads in it, sorry, but no thanks. I'll check out Brave, thank you!

Well, I don't nearly use to full of its capacity and ignore some features but it is quite convenient for my use. With youtube, it acted up when they tried to enforce the "you are violating our terms of service if you are using na adblocker, you can watch your last 3/2/1 video" but the browser sorted it out within 1-2 days without me moving a finger and meanwhile opening the video in incognito mode worked as an easy work-around. I could never come back to watch youtube or anything really with adds, it got too many and too intrusive.

The only feature which might be suboptimal sometimes is that it allocates the memory to tabs you are using atm, so if you return to an open tab you didn't touch for a long while while you were working on other tabs, it likely reloads that page.

Vivaldi might be a good option too, it has a feature allowing you to group up tabs and renaming it which I guess might come handy if you are multitasking with many open tabs allowing you to switch focus easily between unrelated segments/topics without possibly having trouble to find a specific tab if you have opened way too many.

Finally, I found the issue, it was an add-on that was causing it. I turned off all of my add-ons, it started working, and I then started turning them on one at a time until it stopped again. I can now see Instagram embeds once again. What is so strange is the add-on that was causing it, was related to the duckduckgo search, and was there and enabled prior to the refresh that I did. Regardless, it now works. I still have an issue with Firefox not opening one particular site (a site related to RC), and that site recently started only opening in the DDG browser, it won't open in FF, Brave,m or even Edge.
