There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

@Michael, hopefully he'll turn up soon, I believe that if any lion can handle himself it's Mfumo.
Here's a recent Tayla McCurdy video of him dealing with a couple of grumpy lionesses.

When the first hyenas were seen feeding, it was predicted that at some point the local lion population – most likely in the form of the Birmingham coalition and Ntsevu pride – would eventually discover the carcass. However, by the time they did so it appears as though it was to late; they were found first thing in the morning moving away from the scene with empty bellies. It seems that too little meat was left to interest them, and they simply walked away. Referring to an elephant carcass that was stripped within 36 hours.

The photographer was asked if the Birmingham male had a scar under his right eye. She responded: there are 4 (Birminghams) we only saw 3 - I would have to check the photos as I have more of him with this female but off hand I don’t remember him having a scar ....

Here's a less handsome bro, who nevertheless has quite a bit of success with the ladies. Tinyo.

The lack of reports of sightings about Mfumo seems disturbing to me already. I hope you are well wherever you are!  Weird

His hip obviously a little damaged in a disagreement with one of the other males, he gingerly poked his head over every ridge trying to find the other two and the lionesses.
