I was also thinking the same.. Hope he is not caught alone by Avocas in the North
Someone said he was up north all by himself but North where ?
Maybe he is with one of the prides wherever they are, the North is almost completely vacant right now of male lions and prides specially Djuma, prides are all South and the only pride being seen up North is the Talamati pride and Torchwood.
The Avocas strangely enough haven't pushed further even though the BB Boys haven't been North for a long while, the last time they were seen was 2 weeks ago on the Djuma Dam Cam
Definitely worrying, hope he is ok it's always the loner that goes first
They are dominant over Kambulas, Styx, Nkuhumas and Torchwood. (Talamati was with Selatis, now Avocas are mating with them.. there is no sign of last Selati male)
Styx are on their own often reported by MalaMala.
NKuhumas are also on their own often reported by SafariLive and Nkhoro
He might be with Torchwood pride or otherwise I am worried

Is there any lodge that traverses Torchwood that posts regularly on instagram or facebook ?

This shot of Nhenha from 2 days ago perhaps captures the moment he awoke to find that everyone had split without him.

One of the Birmingham males follows another male and four Ntsevu lionesses towards the Maxabene river. We were parked down in the sandy riverbed, and it was impressive having this male descend steadily towards us from above eye-level. The Birmingham coalition have been maintaining relatively stable and consistent movements in the east of Londolozi, yet we are still waiting for them to push deeper into the north in particular. The demise of the Tsalala pride and consequent lack of mating opportunities in that area may well have something to do with this big coalition anchoring themselves to the Ntsevu pride.

The Kings of the past are not forgotten, but the Kings of the present are in their prime. This male Lion, is part of the mighty Gowrie coalition. They currently control Northern Mala Mala and the Northern Sabi Sands Game Reserve - Game Ranger Rob.
This may explain why Nhenha needs the extra sleep. This male was with two females who presented themselves to him multiple times. Each session lasts about ten to fifteen seconds.

MalaMala update: August 3rd-5th. Credits: Rattray's on Mala, image by Jacques Proust, posted August 5, 2018 Members of the Gowrie male coalition and the Kambula pride were viewed on all 3 days. The 6 sightings that involved these lions were focused on the areas around the 2 confirmed den-sites along the Sand River; one south of our causeway and the other opposite Rattray’s Camp.
