Captive Andean Condor in Parque Nacional Laguna de la Culata in Estado Merida, Venezuela, their situation in Venezuela is very critical with only about 20 Andean Condors in the Wild in this Natural Park in the Venezuelan Andes. It is very hard to see one wild Condor because you need a permission to go to the place where you can see them.

Andean condors are huge incredible birds of prey but sadly their numbers are very low in Venezuela, they don`t find good number of dead animals to feed themselves like they do in other parts where you find good healthy numbers like Chile and Argentina. Numbers in Venezuela are alarming with about 20 Andean Condors, other big problem is that many people still believe that they can attack and carry little children away, they don`t have power in their talons like the Eagles do as can be seen in picture of its feet but is very hard to make people believe it, hope they can reproduce and have better future in Venezuela.
