6, they stayed closer to Orpens area, 3 moved further into Kruger.

Skybeds territory was in Kruger, and there's very little info about them, so we dont know how many they sired..

All the Skybed sons have those Hip-Scar eyes, they have quite a distinctive look along with the wide snouts/face.

In late-2013 Ronesh Parbhoo encountered 3 Skybed brothers near Orpen Gate. These guys were some of the lesser known brothers of Scar and his often seen companion the tall brother. The first of the three brothers is this handsome lion with upturned orange eyes. Quite a few shots exist of him fromother photographers as well..

This is the second of three dark maned bros that Ronesh Parbhoo snapped near Orpen Gate in 2013. This boy was easily identified by the downward facing "C" brand on his right hind leg, his chewed left ear and numerous facial scars. He's the same guy seen above by Nicole Meiring. He was also one of the two boys who caused a stir when they pulled down a kudu on the H7 in 2015.

This is the third of the Skybeds that Ronesh Parbhoo shot in late 2013, the mighty dark maned Skybed who fought some of the Matimbas in Nov.2011. I believe he was the most dominant of the brothers. And credit to Ronesh Parbhoo who captured these guys so well in a quiet mood.

From the photos I've seen (Lion Sightings FB), there are 3. They were also sighted at Talamati Bush Camp 2 weeks ago. Images by stormvtonder.
