There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

A size comparison between the 16.5 inches long and 11.5 wide Lionzilla skull and the 15.75 inches long and 11.5 inches wide tiger skull, despite Lionzilla skull being longer but overall both looks the same size

The details of the 419 mm long lion skull that was briefly described in Mammals of the Soviet Union, Vol II, Part 2 by Heptner and Sludskii from 1962 Rowland Ward's Records of Big Game 11th Edition by Gerald A. Best including the method of measurement. If the top 3 lion skulls are place on top of a table, the measurements will be 17 inches in greatest total length including the mandible. I thought the top 3 lion skull records belong solely to the Transvaal or Kruger lions but some specimens from the East Africa can also actually attain huge skulls.
