I have the immense fortune of working in my country's WWF reserve and dealing with various species of birds of prey in aviaries.
Here is a somewhat peculiar comparison that I don't think has ever been posted here, a peregrine falcon feather (left, 20 cm) compared to a kestrel feather (right, 7.7 cm)  *This image is copyright of its original author  *This image is copyright of its original author If I am lucky enough, I will be able to get an eagle owl's feather from their avaries in the next days/week. Those feathers are truly massive and if I get one I promise I will compare them to the ones I got today

Complete size comparison! Finally got the chance to get the feathers of one of the largest arial predators here in Milano
From left to right -Peregrine Falcon ~20 cm -Peregrine Falcon ~ 9.5 cm -Common Kestrel ~ 12.2 cm -Common Kestrel ~ 8 cm And the last three are all from the majestic Eagle owl!!! Respectively of 23.1 cm, 13 cm, 13 cm  *This image is copyright of its original author
