Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. After the rain dissipated Casper, Casanova and Footloose could hear the fourth Brother Mfowethu calling then from a distance.
The trio decided to respond to his calling and meet him halfway.
Watch the Brothers calling each other, and then eventually a beautiful and joyful Re-union as all four Brothers, offspring of The Shishangaan Pride, met up in the road.
What a special and amazing bond exist between this four very Famous Lions - Casper The White Lion, Casanova, Footloose and Mfowethu.
These Brothers are going to be a force to be reckon with in the Lion Kingdom of Kruger National Park!
Pride Males of other Prides in the area....beware! Especially The Nsemani Pride Males, the four Shish Brothers are coming!
Filmed on the H1-3 South of Satara Rest-camp in Kruger National Park.

Howzit everyone. New guy alert.

They are absolutely going to be a force. A quick anecdote from my personal viewing of both those  coalitions. I would like to note that they have already had a run in with the Nsemani at the end of July with two of the brothers coming off alot the worse for wear, Casper in particular.

I was at Satara and viewed all four Shishangaan on the late afternoon of the 20th on H7 relatively close to Nsemani dam. In the next week the confrontation happened leaving two, at least, of the Shish pretty battered on bruised and I then caught up with the two Nsemani males at Girivana waterhole on the morning of my departure from Satara. They were in absolutely fantastic condition, just had a big meal and did not have any real noticeable indications of being in a fight. They are brutes in their prime and even the 'smaller' Nsemani is a tank.

The Shishangaan have definetly made the immediate area around Satara their own so that's not to say they won't attempt to expand west at some point but having had a beat down put on them fairly recently I suspect any incursions and attempt to expand will initially happen further to the north and east.

They are definitelly not in their prime anomore (Mbiri male was born in 2011 and Rockfig in 2009) tho from your post it seem they are doing very good even being well past it. In general tho Rockfig male is currently very much among the oldest terrytorial males in Kruger closing up to 13 years old.

Meet the Fathers of Casper The White Lion and his brothers!
They are the only two remaining 'old' Shishangaan males.
They are no longer the pride males of the Shishangaan pride but still known as the 'Shishangaan males'.

They were born around 2008-9 (depending of litter). They where 7 brothers in their nomadic days in 2013, now only this two are still alive.
The two now control The Mananga Pride.

This pride is estimated to be 19 strong when all together, according to a head count that was done recently, which included six lionesses and thirteen sub-adults and cubs.

The Kumana males, took over the Shishangaan pride but only the one remains now. He was having some competition from a younger male known as the Maputo male. After a few fights they landed up forming a coalition and are still dominant over the Shishangaan pride.

Two members of the Shishangaan male coalition, one of which was Xihamham have been seen on a number of occasions with the Mananga pride feeding, and have on occasion been seen wandering the 'Singita Concession' as a pair ensuring no intruders enter their northern territory.

Meet Xihamham, a true legend and King of the famous Shishangaan Pride.
He have sired many lions including the famous Casper The White Lion and his Brothers Casanova, Footloose and Mfowethu.
In his younger days he was a real 'Casanova' loving Lionesses and avoiding fights with other Prides - Now one of his sons are called Casanova. Like Father like Son?
Currently Xihamham is about 13 years old and he and his remaining brother, from the Shishangaan Pride, still control two Prides namely the Mananga AND Mountain Prides.
The ‘Old’ Shishangaan Coalition originally consisted of seven Brothers.
After many fights with neighboring Coalitions only the two remain.

We wish Xihamham and his brother a long and healthy old age, and their memory will stay with us forever: 'The Real Lion Kings'
Filmed close to the S41 on the banks of the Gudzani River in Kruger National Park on 4 December 2021.
