There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Video dated from today, 23th december... Casper lost his brothers (which were not far, 2 km, from him, according to the authors of the video), having slept too much.

Looks like they are tolerating that young male, any idea who sired him? Nsemani males? Or Nwanetsi?

I believe its Nsemani since his age seems to be to coordination with when Nsemanis became dominant in the area. If it was Nwanetsis who sired him, I think he should be a lot older. Also, since last Nwanetsi died in 2019, its unlikely he stayed with his natal pride for 3 years straight.

It looks like Casper has not rejoined his brothers yet. Hope he finds them soon!

" On the romantic front 2022 has been a very busy year for Casper The White Lion. Casper the White Lion is only one of three white lions currently alive in the wild. The other two White Lions - Brother and Sister - are from the Birmingham Pride and their territory are in the Ngala Private Game Reserve to the west of Kruger National Park some 60 Km west of Satara. Sometimes the two Birmingham White Lions wanders into Kruger Park close to Orpen Rest-camp area. Casper was born in 2014 into the Shishangaan Lion Pride. Him and three of his Brothers, Casanova, Mfowethu and Footloose, currently control the Satara and Nsemani Lion Prides in Kruger National Park. Lets hope that we will see a White Lion Cub born in the new year of 2023. The reason why white lions are so incredibly rare is because the mating female and the male must both possess the recessive gene called Leucism in order to produce a white lion cub. The likelihood of both lions having this gene is extremely uncommon, which is why these pale-coloured lions are so special. Happy new year to all the Casper followers out there and thanks for watching this Channel! "
