There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The 5 subadult males of the Rongai Pride with Olonkera leading the way. They've been spending more time away from the pride as at least two of the Rongai lionesses have had new cubs. Lorkulup, Oloshipa, and Oloimina haven't shown any aggression towards them so perhaps they'll still be able to hang around the area for a bit longer before striking out on their own for good. The Topi Pride has 5 or 6 subadult males as well, so there's certainly going to be a lot of young males looking to stake a claim in the Mara and surrounding areas in the future.

Rob the Ranger said this lioness was fighting with members of the Topi Pride, last night, and she did not make it through the night. No ID is available, as of now, but Rangers are on the scene looking into it.

Seen multiple people state that she's Tisha, a 3 y/o lioness from the Topi Pride itself. What exactly happened is still up in the air but a claim was made that whatever took place was supposedly witnessed, but that obviously may or may not be accurate. Hopefully more information will become available in the following days.

That would be very tragic if that is the case, more so than it is already.

At least it wasn't her pridemates who killed her, though I now wonder who they may have clashed with. Tisha was just coming of age, and preparing to help grow the pride.

Apparently she was found with a large gaping hole. So probably warthog or buffalo

Her and her grandmother Yaya can't seem to catch a break.

Update: Her wounds were treated and the decision was made to move her back into Marsh territory where she'll be monitored, similar to what's taking place with Yaya. The Paradise Pride did a number on her as she has wounds from her chest to flank, both on top and underside.

Now I am not so sure.  I think it's very likely humans killed her.  These Lions having a cow to eat, they are going to need supervision for a while now.
