Prides of the Masai Mara - BA0701 - 05-25-2022

This thread is for posting specific posts pertaining to prides from Masai Mara. This will include breakaway prides (until they've re-established themselves and received a name of their own, as well as nomadic males who have left the pride until they have met the same criteria.

Our hope is for these pride specific threads to become a central repository for information pertaining to specific prides, both historical and current, in the same vane as the coalition specific threads.

The Moniko Breakaway Pride, just posted by Rob The Ranger. Interesting interaction between the male and a sub male. The power of a look.

Yes thats Olbarikoi/Jesse2; Original 1/7 Offbeat boys..... Jesse and Franks son! Their offspring including them are gorgeous. I believe Frank and Jesse were sired into the Cheli Pride.

Says this was filmed in the Mara River. What a miraculous escape for this lioness.

Extremely sad story for the famous Oololoolo Pride. HWC is getting all too common everywhere these animals live. Let's hope she can rebuild the pride successfully.

RE: Prides of the Masai Mara - lionuk - 07-21-2022

1/4 Black Rock males, Oloshipa, and sole Rongai pride cub

They were seen with at least one other Rongai lioness, enjoying a zebra kill. Although the cub has no siblings/cousins to play with at least he has his four dads who are all very tolerant and play with him.
