There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

He's got that same intense look in his eyes that his Mantimahle brothers have
It is strange, but I have noticed in some recent pictures of the PCMs, their faces have been appearing in photographs, to be aging beyond their years. They are what, 7-8 years old now, in their absolute primes, but in their recent pictures they appear closer to the same age as the Nwas. Perhaps their constant, and rapid travels from WS to the north have really worn them down.
I think that it's partly due with their constant travels from western SS to northern SS and back again. Then again it could also be a genetic thing, some individuals age faster/slower than others.

There’s nobody who could really kill them in the West rn, only capable ones being KM + S.Avoca who are down south, or NK + Khanya who avoid these boys as much as possible.

Stranger things happen... I agree for the most part. At least they are in Sabi Sands and not the Mara....
Makhunga's partner has a name? I think he deserves one...
He doesn’t have one, neither does bigger maned PCM, Makhunga was named by a guide, Western Sabi Sands nor Sabi Sands as a whole recognises that name. I was speaking to someone a few months ago and suggested the names Mandla - strength / power and Mavuto - troubles / problems, thought they were quite fitting for these boys. I don’t think they’ll ever be named tho, atleast not in Western Sabi Sands but maybe so in their latter years when they would likely leave.
Sabi Sands as a whole has never recognized any names, if this is the standard, no lion has ever had a official name there. Not even the likes of Mapogo, Matimba and Majingilane were called by their names by every reserve.
A Singita guide named him and a Western Sector guide called him that, for me it's enough, certainly more than enough compared to fan-favorites like that name they gave the Talamati male but no guide, ranger or even photographers acknowledges.
