"Tau Sherі (Spirit of the Mountains) - is the name given to the first Persian Leopard (Panthera pardus ssp. saxicolor) in Kazakhstan, whose presence has been officially confirmed. Different camera traps across the Ustyurt Nature Reserve have been capturing it with varying frequency since 2018. Experts presume that this leopard found its permanent home in Kazakhstan."

The Badhyz Reserve has various feral or free-ranging Horses.

"There are also some clear management actions needed, including, removal of the feral horse population before it increases any more, the importance of securing access to water sources outside the reserve for the kulan and providing infrastructural  and logistical support for the reserve staff by upgrading their equipment"
