There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

A Kiss Could Have Killed Me, If It Were Not For The Rain

Brothers shield themselves and one another from an afternoon rainstorm. These are two of a new coalition of four young male lions currently referred to as 'The Nomads', who have recently moved into the Maasai Mara.

"Scarface" from July 2011. He had just got this wound when I got this picture in Masai Mara. This lion now is the boss of the biggest pride in Masai Mara, in fact the biggest pride of lions that I have ever seen or even heard of.

He was treated almost a dozen times..
May be being in Mara helped his cause..
He is one the most impressive lions though.. (Along with Notches, Offbeat males and 4 KM males)
