There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Scar the great old lion of the plains, strutting his stuff for the camera (we have a crew from the BBC in residence with us filming at the moment) and filling his belly with the rest of the Paradise Pride.

Are Mara lions bigger than the kruger lions? Other than the matimbas, most sabi sands and KNP lions seem smaller in size like maybe 10-15% smaller.

I was more thinking of average weight across a population instead of record outliers. Thanks though.

@vinodkumarn :

About #898: What a beautiful male lion !

But I don't understand his nickname "Lipstick". Were his lips particularly red when he was young ?
