There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

A NEW COALITION FORMING???

Great to see these two lone nomads having hooked up together! The collared male is Ordikdik Boys named Orkuret while the other one is Sankai Boys named LeMoniko. They were spotted here hanging out with a baby giraffe kill!

Life is full of challenges for male lions. Orkuret is the remaining member of original 3 Ordikdik Boys (dominant over Sankai pride for a few years). LeMoniko is the last standing member of 4 Sankai Boys, sired by Jesse2 & Frank2. Each of them has lost all brothers. Best wishes to their friendship.

Yeah good to see both of them. They seem to hang around Talek Gate which is a bad area, loaded with bomas and cattle hence why they collared Orkuret. Hope they stick together.

Yeah that map is cool just some of it is a little confusing, maybe not entirely accurate. 2 small things I can point out quickly Belly Hair and buddy control Henry's pride and a pride in Serenghetti. They're far from nomads.  Also Iceman and Olbarnoti are not nomads either. They control Anagama/Ooloololo pride and possibly Owino pride. They might have gotten ousted from Owino tho.  Map is missing 2 young Offbeat boys sired by MNC Boys up in Oloisikut. These are the 2 that caught Enkong'u months ago.

Anyway cool map, MPCP puts out these maps too pretty much like this one. It's nice to see on paper most of the males and coalitions. Makes it easier to follow!

Here's some pics and short history of the original 6 Enkoyunai Boys, now 4, sired by Ololparpit and Olbarnoti.

When they left the pride and by the time they showed up at Offbeat only 4 were together. Then Saningo popped up later and his tail was missing. Doda never showed, we lost him in between that time they left their natal pride. So that left 5 until earlier this year 2024 we lost Jicho. A big blow to loose him as he was always with Lenkoe and Mwana fighting and keeping the territory secure.  So Lenkoe, Mwana, Enkong'u, and Saningo are alive and well nowadays.
