Othawa Pride

Might be. As far as the Mhangeni knows, the Othawa pride still consists out of 3 adults and Skorro is still around.

Had they known the truth, the encounter might have gone a lot differently.

Mhangeni also saw 6 lions counting subs. Numbers are numbers.

Mhangenis are nomads, and they prob already eaten most of that warthog, so yea, no reason to fight Othawas there.

They didn't even look at them, they just move off.

Time for this girl to build a legendary legacy akin to Tailless Tsalala. It can be done, but takes a special lioness to do it.

Sassy can do it, but like a few others have mentioned her odds will be better if she leaves the Sabi Sands.  Bibi Tsalala could slip in and out of Greater Kruger when she needed to.  The prides weren't so crammed together back then either.  This is so depressing.  I'm hoping for a miracle.

Is there no video of the altercation?  Did they find Tumbela's body or he is just presumed dead?

Off-topic:
Leopards: weight three times less than lions, start hunting on their own at around 15-18 months old.
Tigers: become independent at 17-24 months.
Lions at 16-18 months: reach the size of an average adult leopard. Five of them can't even roar at hyenas and protect their prey. Can't catch even a small gazelle.
Something is really wrong with lion developement. They are helpless for far too long.

Ottawas need to leave this area and move to the east or to the north. This is not their territory anymore.

Leopards and Tigers evolved to lead solitary lives.  Lions evolved as pride animals.  This is reflected in their maturation process and hunting style.

Agreed about Othawas needing to move.

Tumbela is not dead,  Nhenha and NK have no scratches, he prob left the area as he did before when he showed up in Manyeleti after few weeks of no sighting, he will show up again somewhere.

There is no evidence that he died.

But its now 20 days since the last sighting of him risking his life by hanging around the Ximhungwe pride.  And Nhenha has this huge scratch now that could potentially be from a fight with him.

There is a good reason to be pessimistic and each day he isnt seen is an argument in favor of his demise. Its not a stretch to believe he has been killed as dying in this manner is hardly a rarity for them.

But ultimately we dont know and he can just as easily pop up this afternoon.

That Nhenha scar is from hunting and happened before Tumbela went missing.

Idk.  Skorro was last seen on 6 August w ximunghwe as reported by Diff.  I don’t have any pictures of Nhenha w that scar prior to the 6th.

Good to know that the scar was before because this is how we get confused!
