Notch Coalition Male Lineage

I'm not saying that Spearboy was enough, but now there should be something else too from Notches...

So, the 3 Enesikiria males (Oloiture, Lerai and Nkarabali) were born in the Enesikiria pride in 2017 and they are sons of the Rekero males naturally. One from Dongo, and other two from Green Eyes and Caesar2 in my opinion. Assumed that, they are with the Siana pride recently in Mara Siana Conservancy.

And another one also less known male: this is Lokoman's son who have got his new name just recently: Olopi.
He was also sired by the Rekero males in the Sampu Enkare Pride in mid 2017. He had two brothers too, but sadly lost them, so he teamed up with a new partner then, with whom they rule a pride (the long time disappeared piece of the Maji Ya Fisi pride with its two original female members) now in Nashulai and Isaaten Conservancy.

Credits also thanks to Mara Predator Conservation Programme!

Most likely an old sighting as Rob posts weeks and months older videos. This new video/pics have not been confirmed rescent unfortunately and most likely leaning toward older sighting by comparing Spearboys facial injuries. He hasn't been seen a quite a while but this is not abnormal for him to disappear for sometimes 6 months or more and pop up out of nowhere. Fingers crossed hes still alive and well.

By the way, I think he was the only son of Notch's partner 'Light Mane' in the Notch coalition among the five boys. In my opinion is based on his blondish mane, while all other four boys had had darker and blacker manes which refers to Notch's style himself.

I think Mighty Long and Bob (Grimmace) were litter mates and both sired by Light Mane! They both had that face, that very wide, unique face. When I look at both long enough, especially Grimmace I cane see Notch too! But yeah I think these 2 were definitely from Light Mane!

Great news, also sad, but great nonetheless!
Hes still kicking after loosing both brothers and everyrhing in Olarro South after the lease fell was defaulted on by the safari lodges and the land owners took back the conservancy. Ron2 will be 13 in I believe Nov.

You could be correct, but I think Long was Notch's son because he showed so much similarities with him rather than Light Mane. Here is a great photo of him - from the very few among his already adult time sightings around his 5 years of age before his death/demise. Look on his darkish mane and the face structure similarities to Notch (and his half-brothers like Caesar). He had slightly darker mane than Grimace even at his such young age.

You're right about that they were probably the two youngest brothers among the 5 boys - perhaps along with Caesar who was also from a younger littermate (could be Long's littermate maybe?) but I always thought that he was more like a Notch gene.
But i regret the most that there were so little moment and sightings of Long, because of his very early demise, so we couldn't determine his exact characteristics. It seemed like the only sure thing was that he was the largest among the 5 brothers before Caesar has been become so large by the early 2010's. What a shame for him...would have been great if we could saw him as a fully grown male lion in his prime years.

He and Spearboy are last of Notch coalition sons?

Spearboy hasn't been seen either for a while now, so he also could be nowhere likely.

It's not sure if Ron2 is the only alive direct son of the Notches, but for example if Earless can't be found either in the Serengeti anymore, he could be. But as I said, it's not sure, they have too many sons and descendants (we couldn't know so much for example about the Lookout pride which was their last owned pride most likely).

But through the Rekeros, they still have so many grandsons around the Mara right now. The Rekeros were even a more succesful coalition in spreading genes and growing up their descendants than their fathers. So there is around their 3 Enesikiria sons (whom i wrote some weeks ago on this page) Oloitore, Lerai and Nkarabali; then their remaining 2/3 Ilkisiausiau sons (Lembalang and Ole Cook (and the 3rd was Terege before he disappeared)) who are controlling the Lemuny pride now; and their Sampu Enkare son also known as Lokoman's son Olopi (who also lost his 2 brothers).
On the other hand, they also have lost so many of their sons after they became nomads through the years.. For example, their 2 Moniko sons, 3 Fig Tree sons, and Ol Kinyei sons too. There is no news on them for a long time sadly

I think his overall facial bone structure is exactly like Grimmace and Light Mane here which IMHO is different than N1. He definitely also looks like N1 too, same as Grimmace , which I think in felines happens when both males mate with the lioness? But IMHO, Long and Grimmace are almost exact copies of Light Mane with some N1 mixed in!!!   When I 1st started following lions I couldn't see N1 in Grimmace and Long. Took me a while and I finally started seeing it.  I really wish Long lived longer. Supposedly 4KM Boys could have been responsible for his demise as they were battling each other at the time.
