1. Matimba males cought Fourway males in fight 2vs2. In that case we speak about 2vs4. It is totally different story.
2. Birminghams are not Matimbas. That there were coalitions which manage to pull through when confronted by younger coalition doesn't mean Birminghams will be able to do that as well. I've taken Matimbas vs Fourways as and example that numbers dont always matter if coalition is inexperienced. 1. Yes they caught them 2 vs 2,but its very likely that all 3 Fourways was around, its often that young coalition splits in this situations, N'ws split too when they where chased by Bboys.. I dont think is 2 vs 4, because 1 of the N'ws has very bad injury, and its unknown if he can contribute in a fight scenario (as we seen he was not seen mating with SP female, he prob didnt dare to fight his brothers for mating right because of injury) 2. "Birminghams are not Matimbas" based on what? Bboys since 2015 didnt lost inch of their territory without their will, thats more then S. Matimbas hold their.. 3. Based on looks. But Fourways vs Matimbas doesnt matter, i've take that just as an example..

That those are different lions is fact. What to discuss there? Matimbas were for sure larger than Birminghams and judging by both those coalitions encounters with Majingilanes I would consider Matimbas to be stronger with equal numbers compared to Birminghams. Anyway we could argue which due of this two is better, but that those are differant lions and Birminghams may be worst duo is a fact. So far they did not show anythink which could lead to accumption that if Matimbas manage to pull out similar situation (which also is not really true as they fought coalition of 3 and here we talk about coalition of 4) then Birmingham will be able to do that too. This is all speculation, you said that my point was that Fourways where bigger then, then N'ws are now is based on nothing (look at the size of this 2 Fourways on a video compared to 2 Matimbas who where largest males in Sabi Sands, those 2 Fourways where prob close to the size of Bboys and Bboys by the rangers words are much bigger then N'ws are now,2 of which are the size of SP lioness, who is young lioness herself), but also your point that is a fact that S. Matimbas are stronger duo then 2 Bboys is also based of nothing because you have no evidence of power of 2 Bboys to compare.. This is N'ws thread so i dont want to discuss further about Fourways and Matimbas here, im saying again, i mentioned them only as an example that numbers dont matter that much if young lions are not ready, and 4 N'ws running away from 2 S. Avocas and 2 Bboys clearly shows us that they are not, at this time, that might and will change as they grow bigger and gain confidence. More example of this situation recently are 2 Xikukutsu males (idk if Mapoza was with them too) chasing 5 Vuyela males and 3 Mantimahles males chasing 6 Muntshe males and 1 was caught and mauled (idk if he survived).

We dont know for certain, but based on previous sightings of him (in 2018 as young hairless male) , i think he is only 4.5 yrs old, born around beggining of 2016.. Wide Nosed male is prob the same age, with 2 younger males a few months younger... 
Im looking forward to seeing what the mantimahle's young can do if they stick around

They are impressive and will be beasts, but those guys are very young, 3 yrs old.. So for atleast a year i dont see them challenging other males.. Rn they are in sandwich between N'ws and Bboys, and with N'ws pushing north, they might be forced from that area..prob east, in southern MalaMala..
