There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

As we stopped to check for tracks, we heard the call of a lion nearby which made our decision for which route to take much easier. We soon found a single set of tracks along the road ahead of us and followed them until we saw this male lion swaggering down the road ahead of us.

This footage is from a week or so ago, most recent footage of this lion is in Londolozi, same for Gore.

I took this screenshot from latest Safari Episode of MalaMala. However, this is most likely an old sighting of when the four Ndhzenga males arrived in the area and had a run with the N.Avoca males. Ubuso is a good looking specimen.

They have created a beautiful site, for everyone's enjoyment and education, in order to help those same creatures.

Any thought or consideration that they, or anyone else, is getting rich off of this site is simply not true. This is not Google or Instagram, this is a well thought out site, a good place for like minded people to come and discuss the animals we all love, one that takes a tremendous amount of time and dedication by those two people. WildFact is a place for our members to share recent content they've come across, news, images, videos, and for some of those very content creators to share their work directly with us.   Monetization is done by the content creators, through sites like the ones mentioned. The views they receive from the links shared on this site contribute to their monetization, but also provide another avenue to get their conent in front of folks.

Now, please, may we return to discussing these beautiful creatures, the things that unite us, instead of our differences, and the things that may divide us.

ALL,

BAO, as usual I may add, is right in all respects. May sound strange for a site quickly approaching 40 million views (!), but there's no money in it. If it's money you're after, better start writing about something else.

Millions of views and no money? And what about the ads then? Well, they enable us to pay the bills and adapt to new conditions. We considered adding a pay-per-view section in order to improve the quality, but we've been considering it for years. Meaning there's no real drive there. Also meaning we're in it for something else.

The amount of views in 7 years only is admittedly staggering. Most views are from visitors interested in lions. The lion section always was the best. One reason is lions are fascinating animals. Another is we have a lot of members posting good information. Last but not least, we have 3 great mods (Lycaon, BAO and Timbavati). Our guess is our former, and best ever, lion mod 'Tshokwane' would agree Wildfact, as a result of the efforts of all of you, has developed into one of the best lion sites.

Every time our members post about lions, they're inviting our readers to visit the natural world. Many thousands of them use this opportunity every day. And most of them come back, because they want to know more.

In the end, the quality of a site is determined by it's members. They're the ones who post information about a hidden world quickly disappearing right in front of our eyes. By posting good information about those making their home in that world, they contribute to a new outlook. One desperately needed, as we're heading in the wrong direction. Something needs to change and a forum about the natural world could be just as effective as a newspaper article or a documentary. In a way, Wildfact compares to an online magazine. Not one published once a month, but one updated every day by dozens of well-informed and able reporters.

We hope all of you will continue to inform us about lions for a long time to come,

Sanjay and Peter.

@peter, very well said my friend. Personally, WildFact is so full of information on the animals we all love and has proven to be ever educational for myself, I would just like to extend a public thank you to yourself and @sanjay. We just help keep the lug nuts tightened, but it is your vision, efforts, determination, and perseverence that has made the site possible. Job well done my friend!

We tracked these two sibling lions for several kilometers. One was strong and healthy and his brother had several wounds that slowed him down. The healthy male marched forward with a purpose while his brother lagged behind. But regularily the strong one would stop and wait for his brother to catch up. Here they rested together before commencing their journey.

Amahle and Eorenji. These two are most likely litter mates. Or at least, They were sired by the same male. They resemblance a lot each-other. Both with orange-eyes
