There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
My point was not to just post dozens of random pics of one cat. But to post specific pics that actually showcase the areas of the neck and shoulder, which is the topic of the thread. Its difficult to see these areas on an adult lion, but before the mane grows in you can see something.
Being able to drag preys that are bigger than they are, all the "panthera" felis have impressive necks and shoulders. I don't see any jaguar photos, for exemple.
To show that, the photograph must be able to catch the right moment when these muscles (of this part of the body) are sollicited, emphasized.
There are a lot of common features between this big cats, but each of them has its own particularities, and to see them all in a same thread... It's great !
