There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Is this Othawa male the son of the Mapogos, or were the 2 other Othawa’s who haven’t been seen in a while the only sons of the Mapogos that have a chance of being alive? And are the Othawa females the daughters of the Mapogos, and who are the fathers of those cubs that they have?

Thanks, and sorry for my limited knowledge on lions so far. I’m trying to learn more and more about them.

This Othawa male is the son of the Majingilane males with the Othawa females, so he's grandson of the Mapogo males.

Yes, they're the only male offsprings of the Mapogos that reached maturity.

his remaining coalition-mate is an unrelated male, the other fourway died due to an injury inflicted by the matimbas.
