Nomadic lions travel very far away.
Makhulu and Pretty boy once were seen near Croc Bridge,So there you have a idea how far they were from SS

Idk, Styx males where seen in late 2016 in Jock Concession.. :

And reports said that they where seen east of Jock, in s26 area since 2017..

So chances that they went all the way there north and returned back south  in a span of few months is very slim..

And he had much darker mane already in 2016 then this male in 2017:

Idk, chances are very low that thats him..

I'll try to find more photos of this sighting. I'm sure that this is a Styx male 100% sure.

appearance is really very similar,I'll say almost a 99% Afterall we can't know how far he once he has travel meanwhile he wasn't been seen

They where seen on a roar from Pretoriuskop to Skukuza..

Can anyone actually confirm that they are 2 Mhangeni brothers?

Mangheni/Talamati coalition and 1 Unknown male (I believe).
These 4 young male lions recently appeared in the area, we saw them here chasing hyena but they got away.
They are still young and seem to be entering their prime.

Thank you all for your amazing work!
The Majingilane coalition have a special place in many of our hearts and i am glad to see their legacy given their own thread here. All thanks to your own hard work!

One of my favorite lion right now is the Othawa Male. The Othawa Pride is very special to me. I know many ppl call him "Nguvu"... but that was made up by one random fan on fb back in 2018 who did a quick google search.
In reality (and this is backed up by Rob the Ranger and Singita guides) the name Nguvu means "lady's dress skirt" in the local African language. It does not mean strong or powerful... it means skirt.
Just wanted to give you all a heads up. No disrespect intended.
I for one, always liked Prince Othawa or Othawa Male.

They certaintly look very similar, are the same age as Mhangenis would be, ~7 yrs old, and are in the same area..

Male Lion on the S11 (Napi) , Kruger Park, October 2020

The shot was taken just before he launched an attack on x6 Hyenas that were harassing the two female Lions who were feeding on what was left of a Cape Buffalo carcass. One of the female Lions was in an EXTREMELY poor physical condition. The story of the mentioned Lion will follow later....
