Description of the Post: The Blonde Ross Male Seen Yesterday in bad condition near Talamati Bush camp. His brother has not been seen for a long time, and only he himself has been seen wandering, with scars all over his body! ?☹️ This time was seen He is with a young male lion! The old boy’s condition is very poor, and I am very grateful that this young boy did not attack or reject him ? I saw a new photo of him today, which is even worse than the situation in this video. He will soon be 14 years old, and I hope his future days won't be too difficult.?

Description of the Post:
Introducing the Mabotlel Pride! These two females have moved separately from the Birmingham pride for long enough now that they are considered their own, new pride.
They have been named after an area in the Timbavati riverbed that these lionesses and their one remaining cub have been spending their time in. The Mbirhi males have also been moving around them, and the younger female has been seen mating again.
This is them from a past Instagram Post, below is description of the video:
The youngest lion cubs on Ngala belong to the sister of the white lioness - together with the other female born during lockdown, these four lions have been moving on their own for some time now.
Recently they have been spending time around the southern parts of Ngala. We are curious to see if they will be rejoining the Birmingham Pride in the future or if they will rather keep to themselves! Yeah broke my heart seeing him like this even tho I know tthat's the way it goes for them. I was devastated when I found out Tyson was gone too, now this. It was bound to happen 1 day. I pointed that out on Social Media yesterday, looks he might have ran into a snare. Maybe not as were looking at video and pics but it sure does look like it. Over the years there have been several videos of them bonding with each other. I don't remember many videos of them feeding, but one I definitely remember is them sharing a carcass with their very spunky Zebenine cub not long after they'd emerged on the scene as dominant males. I also think there's one of them eating with the Mayambulas and their cubs back in 2018 or so. It's possible they've become less tolerant in old age, though. 
Sadly, the Ross males story is coming to an end. Their legacy will live through the Kruger and Timbavati areas. What a legends!

Yea, prob most successful (observed) duo we witness in Kruger, in this era (in terms of continuos longevity as territorial males). And most crazy thing is, they become fully territorial kinda late, when they where around 5.5 - 6 yrs of age. Imagine if they become fully territorial at around 4. Only Mbiris could potentially "surpass" them, if they can hold on for another, well atleast half a year. Crazy, how 2 of the most successful observed duos, in Ross males and Mbiris, where pretty much rivals and neighbours their whole adult life. |
