Awesome pics! We can now see that his eye appears fine, but his once pristine white face is definitely going to carry some scars from this. I still wonder how this happened. We can assume it came from the RP male they killed, but he did not have these injuries in all of the pics and videos that were released, up to and including when the RP male passed.

If its not from RP they killed, then its possible that 2 remaining RP males responded and thats why boys where seen split.

That is exactly what I pondered earlier, that the remaining RP bumped into them, hopefully we will get some clarity at some point, maybe someone saw what happened, or maybe we will never know for certain. Regardless someone definitely bit his face, I wonder if the remaining RP males have any injuries.
The weather was not the only calmness this week, but it appeared as though the lives of our lions remained relatively calm too…well, at least from what we could see. In fairness the Birmingham Breakaways and Mayambula prides remained largely absent from our area for the week, with tracks for the pride being seen only once before a single Birmingham Breakaway male and Mayambula lioness were seen at Machaton Dam. The Vuyela males were vocal most nights, but their activities annoyingly kept leading them to the north of our concession; we were able to catch up with single members of the coalition on three occasions during the week though. The Sark Breakaway Pride pitched up late one afternoon in the central parts, and it is impressive to see the young lions growing up; they are approaching two years old, and it won’t be too long before the lionesses are ready to mate again. There were no reports of the four cubs being seen this week, although the lactating lioness was seen walking around on her own in the west late in the week. The Giraffe Pride also showed face on three days this week in the west, but none of our guides made the trip out to that side of the concession to see them.

These new B-Boys seem quite the scrappy bunch, not really that surprising given what we have seen from the white male since he was a cub, but I never really saw that much aggression from the other two. I thought someone may have seen it, hopefully we get a report on who they were scrapping with, at this point I'd assume it was the other two RP males. The face injuries will heal, let us hope that whatever is causing the limp will as well. BYM had his injury for a long time, years, before he began walking/running semi-normally, and that terrible injury he had, I don't believe it will ever fully be at 100% again. Tyson can be a rough one when he wants to be, he earned his "Grumpy" Ross Male moniker.
While topic for another post, that entire situation involving BYM remains very puzzling, how he was permitted to linger with the pride for so long, yet Tyson would give him a bashing every chance he got, then he would allow BYM to sit beside him over a meal. Tough love, perhaps?

Are there any other males in that general vicinity? At this point, I'd have to assume it is the other two RP males, and as you mentioned earlier, I think this clash is exactly why the new B-Boys split up. RP Males probably caught the white male, and the other two scattered. If indeed that turns out to be the case, then the white male is very lucky. Hopefully we'll hear some reports from the witnesses at Ingwelala soon.
These 3 Birminghams seem much more confident and eager than the 6 breakaways, seems like they were with the pride just months ago and already killing and troubling dominant males. The white male really got that Tyson's attitude and aggression, the Ross males themselves started in a similar fashion when they were young nomads so it makes sense actually.

The Ross Males were this aggressive at this young age? Guess white male, who has never been lacking in confidence, is a chip off the ol' block. But, as we all know, being in your natal pride and out in the world are two very different things, so that confidence seems sewn into his DNA for sure.
