Its the dry season over in Kenya. Most of the predetors are lean both in the Mara and Amboselli. So HWC happens more frequently. Loonkito left the park (which he probably did many, many times over his 2 decade lifespan) and preyed upon some livestock. BBC News reported the villiages were not happy about killing him as they know him. He was weak and probably starving. It is a shame but Amboselli needs some fresh blood as it is not open to other reserves. No other lion in the wild would be able to reach his age.  

What I can't fathom is with all the non lethal deterrents used for riot control, etc.... none of the rich billionaires who want to push their agenda on everyone else does not donate non lethal deterrents? They push their environment agenda on everyone else but do nothing for actual real wild animals in danger. Reply

So, six lions were killed in what is being called a community slaughter.  Officials tried to push the lions out, but residents rioted and killed 6 lions. I think this is the same area where LoonKito was killed. So apparently the locals are now on a mission. Reply

Tremendous story of an atonishing male lion, Jacob, born in 2014, in a biotop infested of poachers in Uganda. In 2018, he lost an leg because of o poachers' trap. On February 2024, with his fellow Tibu, he swam on night a 1.5 km river among hippos and crocs in order to establish a new territory.

I read about this lion a couple of weeks ago. What an amazing lion, a true survivor that never quits. But very sadly, in this human-dominated world, he lost a leg due to a poacher's snare. His family was also poisoned. Just one of the many atrocious examples of how humans are destroying and polluting nature and wild animals.

This is why I criticized the capturing methods of the Siberian Tiger Project biologists. They were using foot-snares to catch tigers, and some tigers got injured.

But the most distressing fact remains the men' behaviour towards the wild life, especially the top apex predators. Since the dawn of the humanity, we haven't evolved face to them, and we still stay the worse option to consider when it comes to share an habitat with potential enemies. Absolutely atrocious and sick!! This shit really pisses me off. Humans (the absolute worst of creatures) will never stop this destruction of wild animals and nature.

Why the hell would they legalize lion hunting in Zambia?!! How sick and stupid can they get. Africa is a joke when it comes to wildlife conservation.
