A young male lion from the Mhangeni pride gazes toward the vehicle before finding a free space to lie down amongst his large pride. they got the best genes tsalala,mapogo and majingis. Hope they will stay and rule in SS.

I wish they go to Manyaleti, Timbavati where we can track or even Kruger.
The problem in Sabisands in no much genetic diversity.
Tsalala, Mhangeni and Kambula prides are all from Tsalala Bibi lioness
Many of the females were sired by Majis and also looks like Tsala males may occupy some territory in Sabi Sands itself
MALAMALA TODAY: 10th-12th November. Lions: 2 of the Gowrie males and 2 Kambula lionesses have spent the last 3 days mating between Main Camp and Campbell Koppies. The other 4 lionesses from the Kambula pride have started moving back north after a lengthy stay in Charleston. Both Avoca males killed a buffalo along the Tjellahanga River. The Styx pride were seen east of Mlowathi Dam.
MALAMALA TODAY: November 13th. Most of the action today took place very close to Main Camp. We watched 4 of the lionesses from the Kambula pride catch 2 impala south of the causeway. The other 2 Kambula lionesses and a Gowrie male were found near Campbell Koppies. We followed them as they moved west hunting zebra and impala along the way.

We are still not 100% sure as to the ID of the pride of lions that we located on Cheetah Plains open yesterday, feeding on a wildebeest. This is one of the males, as he was dragging the kill to some shade. Video by Andrew Khosa.

Is he Matshapiri with Fourways pride?
This photo was posted on Instagram yesterday, it was taken on MalaMala by a tourist. I thinks it's Matshapiri. The injuries on his back match the bite marks from 3 weeks ago & the Cheetah Plains video.

He definitely can. The matshpiri male lost his territory but the Fourways pride still sees him as their dominant male. The sabi sands has a lot of young coalitions coming up anyway so the matshpiri male should be able to find new coalition partners.
