According to this video, out of the 13 Kambula cubs in the core group, 1 belongs to the old lioness who has given birth again. The 1 that supposedly survived out of the litter of 3.

If this is true it's quite interesting that the female gave birth again while having a living cub.

If she wasn't nursing the cub anymore, it's likely she went back into heat again sooner than she otherwise would have.  Not at all surprising.  She has nothing to do with her previous cub, neither tending to it, nor suckling it.  Her body was prepared to start the heat cycle again.

OE Ndhzenga chasing Skorro/Orpen male:

Looks like NK - Skorro coalition didnt last, both males seen several times alone recently.

They where prob scattered by Ndhzengas after they where seen together roaring in Londolozi.

Welp! There goes something we all wished would have happened but didn't go according to plan. If it's true then that's really unfortunate for the both of them. I was really optimistic for the NK male after his styx brother died but now there's too much of a pattern. Because of this pattern i wondered if the Styx boy was left alone to fend off those mangheni females thus his unfortunate fate.

Like ive said many times before, i really like the NK male but he isn't a fighter or doesnt want to fight when it comes to an evenly match. He has shown that he is nothing more than an opportunistic lover. There's nothing wrong with that but it sucks bad for his potential partners. Hopefully jr's jr is able to find a more willing partner.

Ive said this about the NK male last time and i had a karen writing a long essay about nothingness and she got up in her feelings.  Funny  Funny

People tend to ship to those lions like they are characters in a saturday morning cartoon. Males that aren't even aware of each others existence are added together in imaginary pairings and two males that seem to tolerate each other in a sighting are declared a coalition on the spot. It was much to early to declare the two a pairing to begin with so this split shouldn't come as too much of a surprise.

I dont think Nym feels he needs a partner right now.
Granted he is not occupying vast areas of territories in huge battles and leaving tons of cubs like traditional coalitions. But this warrior narrative is a typical human way to keep score, the lions themselves don't care about any of that.
They just want food, safety, occasional companionship and mating opportunities. So far Nym has had no issues securing those on his own so why change things that are already working.

I doubt Styx can be blamed on Nym. It was just a lucky swipe by a lioness in a fight that the Styx male should have no problem handling himself him. The two had no issues chasing the PCmales off not that long before that.

Yea, eapecially as NK before that was seen several times with Tumbela and Talamati males aswell, and didnt stick with them either.

NK was seen bonding with Skorro and roaring together, stuff only coalitions do. He never did that with Talamatis or Tumbela.

It is also too soon to say the coalition didn't work, we don't know why they split but one was found in the south and the other in the north and then Mala Mala. It's very likely they were chased and that's what separated them, instead of them deciding to go their own way.

Skorro would normally never go so much north and then go to MalaMala.

NK was very close with Talamatis, seen sleeping several times in the middle of them, just inches away, just because bonding was not filmed doesnt mean it didnt happen.

They could reunite yes, but based of NKs recent record of just "hoping" from partner to partner, its definetly questionable if they will form something which would last.

I guess we will have to wait a bit and see if NYM with young Skorro end up forming a coalition.
I also think is little bit too soon.
