That Skorro YM is very impressive.
At first him and Skorro Tumbela really confused me especially as they both seem to like being alone aswell as the names, weird thing is Skorro YM is primarily in Londolozi so u would have thought there would be interactions between him, Kambula YMs, Talamati YMs and Nkuhuma but seems there haven’t been.

Same thing with Wonky, he is seen often in that same general vicinity. I am surprised he hasn't run into him either. One thing is for certainly, if they do bump into each other, Wonky will definitely share a meal with him. Unfortunately, we haven't hear much from Wonky in a bit.
I don’t think he’s still in Sabi Sands to be honest.

That injury on his face might not be from 1vs1 fight afterall, as these looks like bites, and by the state/color of these injuries and face injury, from the same period.

I wish that stick wasn't there, we could see it a little better. The strange thing is, when he first showed up with those head injuries, he did not have a limp, and there was no blood, wet or dry, on his back legs that I saw, and I never saw him licking it.

Agreed plus I’d expect his back to be covered in wounds in order for the lions to down him and then go at his legs, other thing is the wound at the top of his leg is by itself, I’d expect a lot more from 2 male lions. For me there’s two males that S8 could have fought, either the Kruger Male as he had wounds on his head or RRM who was lame and didn’t necessarily have any other injuries although he didn’t when he fought Mandevu either and obviously guides said it was RRM. The lack of wounds on S8 back and legs convinces me it was a solo male.

Kruger Male would surprise me a little, due to the really odd relationship he and S8 seem to have. That video of KM walking to within lik 30-40 meters from S8 as he was mating, and S8 only stood up and let out a few growls, akin to what you see from coalition partners, but not like you'd see from two males who see each other as a threat, especially in those conditions. It is possible they fought, but I guess we'll never know what actually happened.

At first it was reported NSW headed North after they heard the commotion of the BDMs chasing the Nkuhuma YMs but just seen a comment on ig from a reliable source saying S8 and Kambula YMs were also in the area, imagine the shock of the BDMs when they heard lions roaring from every direction and Mohawk plus the other YMs were probably involved in some way aswell. I mean what even happens at that point, guessing it just turned into a massive standoff.

I think the Nkuhumas, Mohawk and the boys, as well as the Kambulas could be a real problem for the BDMs. I hate to see it, as I think the BDMs are trying to bring some new blood to the area, I'd like to see them succeed at that. Unfortunately, Sabi Sands lion dynamics are just chaos at the moment.

I dont think NKs will be a problem for BDMs, as i dont think they will try to overtake their own natal territory, chances for that happening are very slim, and these kind of stuff very rarely happen.

In fact, im not sure i know any example of this happening.

Didn't Notch and sons take over the sons' natal pride, after driving out the males who kicked Notch out, or am I mistaken with that?

Mapogos. Technically they wouldn’t be overtaking it as Mohawk is the pride male and former dominant male of the territory, that’s if they stick with him.

Despite not being too well educated on the MM lions and Notch story in general, I think u may be right the lions killed Notch’s brother forcing him to leave the territory with his sons and I believe they come back and ousted them.

That is what I thought. The most famous father/son group, and if Mohawk would play his cards right he could be in a similar position. We shall see what happens, they all don't seem to have been spending much time together recently, and those boys to date haven't shown themselves to be inclined for such conflict at the moment. They may end up not joining at all, not knowing the outcomes is what keeps us following these remarkable cats, it is always surprising and fascinating.

Neither Notches or Mapogos become territorial by takeing over their natal area and pride.

Im not an Notch expert, but didnt 2 males (Romeo & Clawed) who ousted Notch in 2007, been territorial over Marsh pride until 2012 when they where overthrown by Muskeeters?? @BigLion39 knows more about that.

Mapogos aswell never controled Sparta pride as dominant males, their reign started out of their natal area.

You may well be right. I just recall seeing a video that explained that after Notch's brother was killed, he and his sons went nomadic, and returned later to take the pride back over. Only thing I know for sure is that the Notchs were absolutely enormous lions.

Just double checked and ur right Notch and his sons never come back to retake Marsh Pride, with the Mapogos I know they didn’t successfully takeover the Sparta Pride, they pretty much just harassed them for many years, but they did control the territory kind of like we see today with the BDMs controlling the whole of Northern Sabi Sands despite S8 and Mohawk still being pride males. On top of that, Ik it’s not 100% accurate but many ppl believe Makhulu was most likely from the Castleton/Ximhungwe Pride because the WSM had also controlled that pride and as we all know they Mapogos were later dominant males of that pride.
