That’s an old video from 2020 of the Cubs from Birminghams.

That YT channel is not reliable.  Notorious for misleading information and re posting videos of others with no credit.

Thank you.

Nkuhuma male is looking large. He's definitely holding a lot of muscle mass and kept himself in good condition when nomadic by himself.

Talamatis yesterday on Simbambilli, all 8 accounted for

At this point i think its for certain that 1 young male and 1 young female are gone, no sightings of them for ages.

So Talamatis are this gruop of 8 (1 old female, 2 young males and 5 young females), Silver Eye doing her own things and 3 adult Talamatis breakaway with Imbali male north.

Yea he is quite big and muscular, hope we get better sighting of him shoulder to shoulder with Nhenha, to see how he compares to him.

I was always of the opinion that people (meaning randoms from internet, not a guides) are overestimating Nhenha's size describing him as some very large male which he isn't. Nkuchuma male seems to be roughly same size (exept for a bellie and mane size). I was expecting Nwalungu males to be a bit or more smaller than Nhenha, but it doesn't seem the case.

Talamatis are quickly getting massive. Looking at them how they looked next to DM, I would not be suprised at all if they would already put on the scale as much as quite few adult males from Sabi Sands.

Nhenha was described by many guides as "one of the largest male in SABI SANDS" in this past few 3-4 years (alongside prime DM Avoca, as S. Matimbas got old) , that doesnt mean he is above average or something on grand scale, its just between this gruop of males in this area.

We still didnt see Nhenha and Nkuhuma male shoulder to shoulder, so we dont know for sure, still looks to me that Nhenha is a bit bigger overall.

And if NK male is near the size of Nhenha, why would that mean that Nhenha is not that big, rather than that NK male is big?

Nwalungu males where not small males, even before they link together, Styx male was always looking as impressive and massive specimen for his age, when NK male join him, they where around the same size, both of them where already much bigger then adult Styx females, even before at 2.5-3 yrs of age NK was noticable bigger then Mhangeni Big Boy, who was more then half a year older. People prob got that impression that NK is small male because lack of his mane, which definitely helps for males to look bigger and more impressive.

But NK male is not some small or underaverage male and is coming into his prime years.

No you can definitely tell the Nkuhuma Male has a smaller body build than Nhenha. We won't be able to easily tell but at 12 years old, he has probably lost a lot of muscle mass compared to his prime. On the other hand, the Nkuhuma Male is 6 years old and entering his prime. Besides his mane, he is probably in peak physical form. I think people were actually underestimating the size of the Nwalungu Males. After all, the Nkuhuma Male is thought to be the son of Mfumo, the 2nd largest Birmingham Male. I remember when the Nkuhuma Male was 3 years old and he met the old HB Matimba and was relative to his size. At the time the Nkuhuma Male was severely stressed and lost all his mane. HB was around 13 years old. Still, he was 3 and now he is 6 years old whilst Nhenha is 12. Remember, HB was considered to be the largest lion ever seen in Sabi Sands at one point.  It should also be said, it was not randoms saying Nhenha is the largest but actual guides and photographers.

Sand River pride. Those cubs are growing nicely, which is great to see. I can see six of them.
