There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Rivalry flows in blood.
As fathers as sons.
Last year it was 2 vs 2; Avocas ( mohawk and blonde) vs bboys ( nhenha and tinyo)
I really hope, soon we will see 6 vs 6; nkuhumas vs kambulas

No, oldest Kambula young males are 1 year older then oldest Nkuhuma, at this stage its huge difference in size and confidence.. youngest Kambula young male is around the same age as oldest Nkuhuma young male, other Nkuhumas are even younger..
Nkuhumas and Kambulas will not be rivals, Talamatis and Kambulas will be, which is not in favor of Talamatis (2 vs 5/6, depends if all Kambulas will stick together).

Its so great for him that they have such a smaller pride under their control, his brothers are not that often visiting this pride, as they have "eyes on bigger prizes" so he has all that free time hanging with them without worrying of contesting with his stronger and more dominant brothers for food.
SP also have benefits of him hanging with them, as he provides protection if they encounter some other lions roaming around.
Also those 2 girls are growing fast and looking fantastic, half a year more and they will be starting to become quite useful in hunts for their mom as they will be turning 2 yrs old.

Looks like 3 Kambula boys and the Nkuhuma sub-adult group with one or two lionesses?
Looks like oldest Nkuhuma young male is not intimidated as he is the one approaching and threatning them.
Those are 3 "middle" /littermates Kambula young males who are hanging together recently, not sure where 2 oldest ones are (they might be seen with Nhenha recently, althrough it might be also these 3), but looks like all 5/6 Kambula young males where not together for quite few months now, atleast what we saw from sightings.
Also not sure where Kambula subadult females are, i think they where lastly seen in Lion Sands month or so ago, with few young males.

They meet each other at different times. Does not mean all 6 won't join each other in the long run. In fact, I still think it's highly likely they do. Also I don't think that Nkuhuma Young Male was threatening them, he is around other lions and there is quite the distance between him and the three Kambula, if they came forward, he might not be as confident.
