Othawas, Tumbelas and Mhangenis :

It seems that HB and Junior rejoined the Othawas, but idk how recent is this because those sightings are over the past week..

And as i said before, Tumbela male with scar on his eye has potential to be quite a big individual:

Reminds me of the young Birmingham male, really massive frame. Potential, as you mentioned, to be really impressive, if he settles into a pride, and is able to fill out. Seems, at HB's and the Othawa Pride's expense, that is what he is in the process of doing now.

" Tumbela male with scar on his eye has potential to be quite a big individual"

I do not think 3,5 years old Othawa male was any less impressive in comparison with Othawa females. Perhaps guides on some video will compare those  males to other dominant males in the arena so we would get some impression on who big those males are. I myself do not expect them to be partucularly big.

"Reminds me of the young Birmingham male"

It is one think to look impressive in comparison to Othawa females and other think in comparison to Ross males. There is rather no doubt that Birmingham male is big individual. Tumbelas however... we can be only guessing at that point how would they compare to other adult males in the arena.

One of the Avoca males in north-central Londolozi. Will this coalition ultimately prove to be the undoing of the Tsalala female? They are pushing further and further into her territory, and we are seeing her less and less…

A lot of possibilities can be taken from this, and sadly none of them look very promising for her, and more importantly for her approx 18 month old cub. Apparently the Othawa Male was seen in the area a couple of months ago as well, so she is under siege from all directions, and for the most part on her own. Not sure if the Birminghams will help her out or not, but she is feeling unbelievable pressure. If the cub can make it a few more months, it would be a tremendous boost for them both. From what I read on Londolozi, if the Avoca's found them now, with the cub being still too young to mate, they'd likely kill her to induce estrus.

However, after all she has been through, Tsalala Lioness is a survivor of the first order, she has done a really good job so far, during some incredibly trying times.

How did Ndhuna Matimba died?

Anyone got any lodges or rangers report on his disappearance in the end of 2012?

Anyone got the contact details of ranger Richard Millar?

Many info on Matimba Male Lions are spread on the Internet by a fan in his name but i can't find Richard's contact to verify those claims.

There: http://tintswaloguides.blogspot.com/2012/12/ you can find Tintswalo raports from that peroid of time. Nduna however by that time mostly spent his time in Kruger from which there are no updates and what exactly happened to him can only be speculated. It is unknown.

Stompie is one of the Dominant male Lions in the area. we refer to him as stompie because he only has half a tail. Stompie means stump. He frequents Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge and Imbali Safari Lodge. He also moves right the way up to Talamati Kruger Camp. Stompie recently mated with a Lioness that is believed to have given birth to three healthy cubs! Stompie is not quite as timid as other male Lions are, he is very relaxed with vehicles. The last time Stompie was seen was on Thursday this past week. He has a nasty limp and we believe this to possibly be Osteo Arthritis. His age is estimated to be approximately 9 years. (written October 2012)
Last seen in mid 2013.
