We'll see what are these boys up to, if they stay in this area, this will be a serious test for N. Avocas in the future, as they are split and have a few limps..

Good news that the 3rd Mbiri is with them. Was worried that the Orpen Males had gotten him.

With Buddy in condition he is in, he rather won't be a threat to anyone. Beside that Tintswalo already couple of times mentioned that those youngsters are big and therefore might be already force to rockon with.

They will be strong for sure. Would still worry for their safety if one of them got caught by Junior one on one at this stage. Should be interesting to see if they stay in Sabi Sands or move on.

Talamati subadults are pretty much safe from these males, they are big enough at almost 2 yrs of age..

Nkuhuma cubs might be in danger yes, if Blondie and Mohawk cant defend them long enough..

But lets not get ahead urselfs, we dont know if Mbiris will stay around and try to challenge Avocas..

As we can see, they looked very nervous as they where in new area for them,we'll se how they will react if they encounter Avocas for the first time..

They just started their nomadic life few months ago, so i dont think they will be trying for takeover already (Tumbelas/Nharus and Nwaswitshakas are 1 plus year in nomadic phase and still didnt challenge any coalitions..)

So i think Avocas still have time to chase Mbiris out of their territory, they will be problem in future for sure if they stay around..

I do not think they are old enough yet to potentially feed for themselfs if need be. The other think is that Talamatis currently operate on huge arena so can potentaially dodge from the danger for example moving further towards centrall Manyeleti.

Yeah, most likely and hopefully they will just move further.

Some spent a lot of time at nomadic life. Others however do not waste time at all like Charlestons, Othawa male or Styx males for example. There is no way to just predict at that point when Mbiris will decide to fight for territorry.

Well they cant feed alone right now, but takeovers dont happen over night, that usually takes few month to half a year, and Mbiris would prob first try to settle in that are before making a move.. When all that folds up, subadults will be old enough..

Wow.. And someone here said few weeks ago that he cant fight other males because of his weak back legs.. But all of sudden he can somehow jump on an adult buffalo and hang on him.. People are still underestimading him..

Intensity!
~
A morning drive in MalaMala!

We got news that there was a lone lioness on a kudu kill in the riverbed. We headed there only to find the kill and no lion. A female hyena came and started eating on the kudu, we watched her for a while before a leopard came out of nowhere through the riverbed and chased off the hyena. This big male Leopard ate on the kudu for a while before 3 hyena came and claimed back the kudu. Knowing he had no chance against 3 hyenas he strolled away from the kill.

We stayed with the 3 hyena for sometime before they suddenly just ran off in a fright, we just knew that the lioness is close and then she appeared through the long grass. She gave chase at these hyenas and made her presence well know. She claimed back what was hers and ate on it for a while. What an epic morning it was and it all happened around our vehicle.
