Hmm interesting, PC boys are very active in pursuing local females in estrus, this is still "sneaky" mating, but boys are becoming more confident each day..

Situation around central Sabi Sands is very open rn for future, between Bboys, Avocas and PC boys, its impossible to predict what will happen in future and who will claim which pride..

I recall short of half of the cubs typically are the result of such encounters.

In any case. With Nym and Sym gone they are in a good position right now.
They can take over the Mhangeni pride and then push into Avoca territory once they move into Birmingham lands. If the Avocas dont, they should be able to do it themselves in a few years. The Tumbellas also should not be much of a problem aslong the two are ailing.

Tsalala lioness, there's another lion beside her in the grass before she gets up. Presumably her daughter

He looks quite young and innocent for a lion in one of the most dangerous positions in the reserve right now.

These two males are around 5 years old and massive. I don’t think they are in any danger unless they get into some kind of freak accident like the Styx male. Honestly feel bad for the Nkuhuma male at the moment. Everyone has a partner or brother so he really doesn’t have a lot of options for coalition mates.

Pretty much none.

Though if he is indeed the culprit behind Syms demise. He kind of dug his own hole.

Seems odd that a coalition partner would go for the groin over food or whatever? I thought styx male might have been bleeding from a bite from a hyena when they took the kill from Mangheni's.

wouldn't be surprised since hyenas have a much stronger bite compared to lions.

Any sign of his brother?

No need to call him mystery male anymore, because we know his origins, Imbali/Mluwati young males.

He's mentioned in the IG post, it says he's watching his coalition partner secure a warthog kill.

Or it's the NK male he's watching
