"The Ximungwe Lioness and cub hold off ten hyenas from a large male impala kill. It was fantastic to see the lioness and her cub in such great condition. The cub is just over a year old now and doing very well."

Same here. Its a bad time to venture around alone.

Though my biggest concern is confidence.
None of these coalitions are battle harden coalitions like the Birmingham boys or Avoca's are. They all are just taking their first steps in being either a nomad or a territorial male.
A bad scrap or visit from a group like the Nwas. And they may all scatter all over Sabi Sands again.

Its always great to see the Ximhungwe again.

So i think 3 males and 3 females may be too much for the PCM to take on if they are already struggling against Nym and Sym. That the Othawas were seen at that spot just after PCM indicates that they are aware of them.

I think "struggling" is a bit of exaggeration, especially if we know that Styx/NK are 1 year older then them, and at that age, thats a lot, they are more experienced, confident and prob physically still stronger, althrough PC boys are becoming beast too and more confident each day.

They also have no reason to fight nomadic males, for what? As neither of them are not yet actively pursuing Mhangenis..

That also has nothing to do with PC boys challenging Tumbelas, who unlike 2 healthy Styx and NK, have only 1 healthy male, which is kinda a big deal.

New Video of Othawa pride.
There appears to be one lioness to many. Which implies Gingerella finally has found her way back home.

Though to be honest. To me it also looks like a rock with the camera movement making it appear to be breathing. Or it could be one of the males.

I can see 3 females, but none of these appear to be Gingerella...
The person who filmed it said 3 females, 3 males and 6 cubs

An update on what's going on in the North.

Tristan mentioned a pride of 21 lions has been coming into Buffelshoek from the north, which he named as the Imbali Pride. He also mentioned they have two males with them who have been making a lot of noise.

Possibly the Hamiltons Pride?

Part of Buffleshoek is their territory so that’s pretty normal of them to move through there. Also the number 21 could just be a guess,  but two adult males would definitely be the Kruger Males. All those other prides are just way too far.

Also, its was reported that Torchwoods where recently seen hanging in the southern Mulwati Concession, so it looks like they moved a bit north.
