1/2 Talamati Young Males does have an injury to his leg and the female's tail has started bleeding badly again.
S8 has not been seen since but there is an audio of a male lion and they are going to check again tomorrow."

Sounds like it was likely DM and a Talamati male were indeed the ones who chased S8 awhile back. Surprising given DM's poor condition at that time. Not surprising that three beat one, no matter how big that one is. As far as mouth injuries go, Scar Mbiri has done very well with a nasty mouth injury and vids of him when it first happened showed he was salivating as described here, and as you mentioned Blondie's leg injury and he's doing well. Point being, these creatures are as resilient as any on the planet, and until we hear different I believe we can still hope for his recovery. Maybe we will get some pics of him, or perhaps they will find it does not appear as bad as it did initially, given a little time.
So sad for S8 but this was expected because S8 was always chasing them and looking a fight.
I always suspected that the lions chasing S8 were DM and the young boys.
I didn't expect the young boys to backup DM in this way. They still haven't gone nomadic and aren't really in a coalition with DM, they aren't even territorial and neither really is DM anymore. Young males still living with their natal don't do this, even when they have a massive numerical advantage. This is pretty amazing I'm not gonna lie.

I did expect this because I have animals and I saw how from they’ve been friends to be enemies from nowhere. Since the moment DM came back, he was ready to take it to end.
When they hate each other is nothing else you can do.

He should visit a casino asap. Approximately how much actual distance between those arrows. In that previous report, they claimed DM and the Talamati subs were 50M from him, which is close enough to lay eyes on one another. Just wondering if there might be a mis-ID or the like in this case.

s8 be better stay away from talamatis and DM if he doesn’t want to get beat up because the youngsters are ready to give dad a hand/paw

Monday, 5 September 2022 (36°C) Talamati Pride of lions consisting of 2 males and 5 females on the march North from Road 8.
Tuesday, 6 September 2022 (26 °C) 7 Talamati lions (2 Males and 5 Females) crossed over from Buffelshoek into Djuma with Dark Mane Acova trailing behind.
Thursday, 8 September 2022 (30°C) After hours of tracking we eventually found a rather nervous Torchwood pride of lions, Around 15 lions on the trot through thick vegetation on Buffelshoek.
Saturday, 10 September 2022 (37°C) A pride of lions on a unknown kill just north of Bushbuck Dam, the Pride was on the Manyeleti reserve, unfortunately we could not view them and establish numbers.
Sunday, 11 September 2022 (39°C) The S8 Male lion took down a buffalo cow on long pole west, Buffelshoek.
2 Sub adult males and 3 Sub adult females resting next to the road on Huntersmoon access.
There is nothing better than having a stable lion pride living in the central parts of the property with excellent viewing on most days this month. The Plains Camp males and Nkuhuma lionesses along with their two cubs continue to thrive with signs that the amber-eyed female is pregnant again and will hopefully be bringing some new members into the pride within the coming months.
The Plains Camp males have been pushing further to the west and have been seen right in the northern parts of the reserve this last month, having warded off the Birmingham and Nkuhuma males from moving any further back east. They too seem to have settled in the western parts of the reserve with the Ximungwe lioness.
A great new duo has evolved with the older of the Mhangene lionesses leaving the pride to join the single young Tsalala lioness. At first we all thought it was the Ximungwe lioness who had become her new pride member, however on closer inspection we noticed that this older female had since decided to stick with her. Great to see the Tsalala and Mhangene bloodlines reuniting.
As for the Mhangene Pride themselves, they have since made a return from their time in the south of the reserve and have been seen on several occasions on the southern parts of the property, with the youngest of all females seemingly doing very well and even getting involved with hunts.
