I also wanted to ask what did you think, is it a 'fight' in Facebook, some say that she is sired by Mapogos because they are the only males who mated with Nkuhuma pride in 2008 and some talk about Gijima males...

Think is that this is Talamati lionesses, not Nkuchuma. Talamati pride is a breakaway pride from Nkuchuma, formed of remaining Nkuchuma male - Dozie and Adult lionesses with their cubs sired by Nkuchuma males. That those cubs were not sired by Mapogos was in fact a reason those females left Sabi Sands.

Yes, I also think that Silver Eyes is daughter of former Nkuhuma lionesses, sired by Nkuhuma males, idk if she was already born when Mapogos came and one of the cubs who run away or born later,i think her mother and mother of Nana Nkuhuma and Sizanani where related and together in Nkuhuma pride before Mapogos came.

Althrough i think its not clear which lionesses stayed with Nkuhumas and which formed Talamatis at that time..

As far as I know there is no records that Mapogos sired any cubs with Nkuhumas, because they moved south shortly after and Gijima males came, who most likely sired Nkuhuma breakaway gruop in 2009/10 which is later known as 4 original Torchwood lioness with 2 young males (1 of which was Smudge Nose Torchwood lioness and most likely Blondie Fourways who joined Fourways after Matimbas came in 2012).

Thats how i get it, maybe somebody have more insight on this..

Yeah that sounds right. Silver Eye was born before 2008 for sure... there are pictures of her in 2010 with cubs and also she was with seen with the Matimbas as a fully grown adult.

Crazy to think she’s probably as old as Hairy Belly.

Where is the plains camp pride located? I see them mentioned in relation to sabi, is it another name for one of the resident prides or a pride that occasionally comes in from kruger?

It is pride resident in Kruger, occasionally showing themselfs in southern sector of Sabi Sands. Actually in recent years they were seen just once or twice.

I thought she was born in 2006 or 7. But i just read on fb that she was born in 2012 and is hairy belly's daughter??? I dont know if they are confusing her with purple eye Nkuhuma.
Can anyone say without a doubt that she is indeed as old as hairy belly?

A portrait shot of the Ximhungwe lioness.

A lioness that roams the northern Sabi Sands with just one other member, her daughter, who is still a youngster.

That’s the youngest one... he lost all his litter mates, had the worst case of mange, now this Sad... it does look dislocated to me. The bone in the back of his leg is sticking out weird.  Hope he can keep up with the pride though and feed.

Yea, it doesnt look dislocated or broken, that bone sticking is just the angle as we only see top of it, if he manage to follow his pride, he will be alright.. It might be only sprain, his siblings are much bigger, so they might hurt him unintentionaly.
