I’ve always thought the 4th Tintswalo met his fate this way.   Thsts always been my suspicion

This is so sad and unacceptable.  Angry

This is actually very unfortunate. I've been wondering why Manyeleti has way more lions caught in snares then any other part of Kruger. I don't know if the reserve's western boundary is fenced or not. In any case, I feel like Manyeleti needs to do more to prevent snares in their reserve.

Removing a snare from the Silver Eyed (Broken Tail) Narhu lioness, who is also pregnant, presumably by Red Road.

I was reading that there’s like 80 open spots for being a ranger. I did the money conversation to USA dollars it’s only $4.xx an hour!! No benefits really and it’s a potentially a violent and dangerous job. I guess some of the villages around are having a hard time with food, jobs, education and housing.
Can see why someone not making enough, has a family and could be bribed.

I was telling my Navy Diver husband that when he is retired from the military we should go there and be rangers…he’d had a pension so we could deal with horrible pay.

Sounds like the whole world and the USA with our "manufactured" crisis currently.

Hello, everyone!
I can't speak English, so I write this article with Google Translator.
I happened to see an African lion story on a Korean Internet blog.
(Sizanani. Scorro? Skorro?) mapogo. Etc..
I searched Skorro hard with Google translation, but it is too difficult.
After Sizanani died, Skorro disappeared and reappeared in 2019, right?
Is he alive?
I came here because I couldn't find it.
Based on the presence of Junior, the son of Skorro, is his bloodline still there?
I wonder about Sizanani and Scorro's lineage.
English is difficult.
Please tell me the names of children, Sijanani and Scorro, who are currently alive.
And now don't use the name Thanda impi?
There are many things I don't know yet because I'm studying lions.
I hope this translation is delivered well.
And if you abbreviate English to capital letters, I don't know the meaning even if I search.
Please help me.

No, Skorro is not alive anymore, last sightings where around late 2019, possible he made it to 2020, but shortly after he prob died.

Sons of Skorro and Sizanani are ex Nharu young males, named Tumbela males (1 alive atm, Skorro Jr., Scar and Limper died in 2021 from disease, 2 other brothers disappeared in nomadic life) and ex Mbiri young males, now called Tintswalo males ( 3 alive atm, Mandevu, Ncila and Lambile, others didn't made it to adulthood).

They also have some daughters in Nharu and Mbiri prides.

I am in the camp that includes Red Road Male as son of Skorro male.  I know some dispute this and it’s debated.

So I would include RRM and the two Red Road lionesses in the Birmingham Pride myself.  :)

Please help
Let me try an overview storyline which maybe help you (maybe others)

Sizanani and Skorro were born into separate prides.   Sizanani (and Brother) into the Nkuhuma Pride and Skorro (and his own brother) to the Skorro Pride.  Each were nomadic in their separate coalitions with brothers and both lost those brothers in conflict with the matimbas.
Then after some time, they united into a new coalition together given the Thanda Impi name.
Sizanani and Skorro now, known as Thanda Impi went on to become Pride males of the Nharu and Mbiri Prides siring many cubs.

In the Nharu Pride, one male got separated and ended up with the Mbiri Pride (he’s known as Lambile) 5 other males went nomadic but had a very difficult life and only three survived becoming the Tumbela males (Skorro Junior, Limper and Scar) who became Pride males of the Othowa Pride.   Of these Tumbelas, both Scar and Limper died and only Skorro Junior remains alive.   The Tumbelas sired 6 cubs.   4 have perished leaving two surviving sub adults who turn two years old in March.  Skorro Junior is now nomadic and is actually with those two girls today.

In the Mbiri Pride , Lambile joined three other males and became known as the Tintswalo males who had a very short time as nomads and came back to become Pride males of their own natal Pride.  One of the Tintswalo disappeared in early 2021 of unknown reasons so today three remain.   Their names are Mandevu, Ncila, and the previously mentioned Lambile.
in the post before, I mentioned Red Road male.   There is a long debate about REd Road male father.   Some believe it’s old Avoca Girrafe, some believe ( I do too ) it’s Skorro from his time with brother before he was a Thanda Impi.

As @Tr1x24 said above, they have daughters in Mbiri Pride (Three ) Nharu (two) and I say Birmingham (two)

Now, if you are using google, you may find information about ‘Skorro Males”.  This is another Coalition born into the Skorro Pride.   They are Sons of Matimbas.   Today they are Pride Males of the Mayambula Pride.   They have off spring in western pride, river Pride and a mega number in Mayambula.

These Skorro males are sons of the Sisters of Skorro Thanda Impi, so they’re sort of second cousins/nephews I guess.

I hope this information is helpful.
