There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Was he the last of the Giraffe/Avoca coalition?

Yes, i think it was the last one... i know old Avoca died last year, he was in a poor condition, prob killed by narhu pride some say.
I think Old Giraffe was the remaining from the coalition but im not 100% sure.

I think he is too young to be sired by Mapogos before 2010 (after 2010 Mapogos where only in western Sabi Sands).

Old Avoca/Giraffe males also sired young Koppies male and most likely 2 Xikukutsu males. Definetly a great and succesfull coalition.

Does anyone has info what happen to 2 young Birmingham males who where seen with Red Road Male and Koppies pride towards the end of 2018?? Is the young Birmingham male who is still with Birmingham pride one of those 2? Or they disapeared into Kruger, or possibly get killed by Orpen males?

Tintswalo Virtual Safari 3/25/20

The guide is I am assuming talking about Hercules and Sumatra male pressuring the Orpen males. The Sumatra male is apparently carrying a hip-injury, if true, the Orpen males won't be challenged.

Sadly not a good sighting of the Sumatra male. He was seen with a leg injury, the atrophied leg is already visible in the video. He was accompanied by his partner the Hercules male, looking healthy and fit.
