There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

PaintedDog TV did a live stream last night, and I watched the entire thing live. Let me tell you, this stream had everything you could ask for, it had excitement (guests out of the truck right near where lions were spotted), it had adventure (trucking through thick brush), it had danger (guides out of the truck and lions charging them), and it ends with some great footage of some beautiful lions. I do not know who they are, but there are apparently three males and three females seen in the video. Great stuff! Just FYI, it doesn't seem to embed "live" videos, so I'll leave the link.

One of the Tswalu males has fallen. I'm not very familiar with this coalition but thought it was worth sharing in case others may be.

Indeed a beautiful maned lion...

" The Kalahari lion is a sub-species that behaves and looks different from other lions as a result of its adaptation to the Kalahari Desert environment.
Compared to other lions, it lives in smaller groups, covers larger home territories and hunts smaller prey. One of its favorite dishes is the Gemsbok (Oryx),
The Kalahari lion is lighter and males have beautiful black manes.
We lately spend some time in the Kgalagadi Game Reserve and came across this beautiful Kalahari Lion Pride at Rooiputs in the Nossob River. "
