There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

He is to me the most beautiful male in the Kalahari! He is not young anymore but just look at how good he is looking. He is meeting here with his "brother".

Normally lions who crossed over the border to farms and then caught gets a mark so that they are identified if they do this again. The good thing is that we just met the Botswana Parks Manager and he said they are making the fence higher and they have already done 60km and have 40+km still to do. Their plan is to electrify this also in due course.

Cat fight
Savuti is absolutely wild and certainly ranks as one of my top destinations. Every moment spent with the Marsh pride of lions is thrilling and memorable. I cannot wait to return.

@Gamiz:

About #676: I'm quite agree with you. Since I have read "Hunters under the Moon" by Derek and Beverly Joubert who made very famous the Savuti lions, the Savuti park and its lions have a magical resonance for me ! And their movies showing the first known lions killing regularly very big preys: elephants and hippos... The very hard life conditions, the famous male lion Ntchwaidumela and so on.

That's an issue that has happened to all of us with certain pictures.

What we're doing is uploading them to Imgur.com

It just takes a second to create an account, and it's also easy to upload pics, you just copy and paste the url of the original one, then you do the same with the pic saved in Imgur.

If you want, make the post again the the thread lions of sabi sands, with the pic and the video of the Mangheni pride, and try what I mentioned with the image.

This comes at a time where the Department of Environmental Affairs are planning to export 800 lion skeletons to Asia for use as fake medicine. Only a few days left to send your comment and feedback to DEA on the lion quota. Please submit here:https://www.environment.gov.za/…/africanlion_pantheraleo_ex…
