There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Lions of Lake Nakuru, Kenya. Lions here tend to retain their spots even as adults and also appear darker in colour than lions elsewhere. This is likely due to the temperate and somewhat wooded environment, as well as higher precipitation.

The Legend Loonkito.
The oldest wild lion at over 17 years old still has the look of a real strong warrior despite all the scars! still a warrior, dominant and a pride male!
These amazing photos of the legend were taken recently this month so his health and condition are looking great! It was great sighting by Mariza.

The Legend Loonkito!
The oldest wild lion who deserves to be celebrated at every appearance. A Lion who exceeds 13/14 years in the wild, that itself is an achievement and a real legend, but for someone to reach 17 or 18 like Loonkito has, this is extraordinary and shows this lion is truly a great one. Beyond the description of a legend. Worth posting every time. Enjoy this great recent shot of the Amboseli old Beast.
