There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, 22 June '17:
"Kashane was resting during the afternoon heat before hearing audio of a herd of impala nearby. Soon thereafter, he was seen attempting to stalk these impala but his cover was blown by a Spotted Hyena and was left seen staring down what could of been a potential meal within a large open area."

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, 26 June '17:
"Late yesterday morning, a male cheetah was found scanning an open area from a termite mound, then next a fallen over Marula tree for a better view on a herd of impala nearby. Over a while he attempted a hunt and was successful in bringing down a sub-adult male impala. After dragging the kill to the closest shade, the Kashane male, dominant in this part of the reserve, made an appearance due to the noise from the rest of the impala herd and chased the cheetah off its kill and dragged it a further 400m to the closest thicket along the Umlechwaan drainage line."

From Londolozi Game Reserve, The Week in Pictures #290 by Callum Gowar:
"The regal Piva male leopard walks toward our vehicle as beautiful morning light illuminates his golden coat. On this particular morning we watched him patiently stake out a warthog burrow, only to miss an ideal opportunity as three of its inhabitants emerged from their burrow."

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
"After spotting his tracks in the southern sections of the reserve and eventually finding him in the northern section, Kashane lived up to the meaning of his name and showed us why he had been given the name – a Shangaan word for “far”."

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
"The White Dam male was found yesterday with the Little Bush female who was actively pursuing him. This got really interesting when the male responded to the rasping calls of his mother, the White Dam female. The three leopards all joined up, with the White Dam female leading her son away from Little Bush who was not best pleased."

"A wonderful way to end off the week! After hours of tracking, the cool late afternoon of winter allowed us to stumble across the Flat Rock male beginning his evening patrol as the sun was setting."
