I wanted to ask when the 3 cubs separated; does that mean that the cubs knew the other cubs and their relatives?
Just a bit confused but k3 and her new litter I don’t think they met the other kambula cubs and k2s son I think she just got pushed out of the pride and left her son I think she had another cub but one of the younger females killed it i think. It’s weird how they split because k5 is the other of k3 k4 and k5 and k2 and k3 are both have daughters in the core pride actually no k3s daughter k11 died She was k2s brother
I don’t remember if it was MM or Londolozi but the way K2’s liter got separated from her happened after all members shared a kill….k2 left with the Ntsevu girls but her cubs didn’t follow. I think I posted the story on this thread. So hopefully my memory serves me right.
I just wondered if before they split their cubs and the lionesses were familiar with eachother. If the three lineages left the three cubs; is like they were on their own? I had another question. There was other lionesses could the split of the lionesses and the disappearances of some the lionesses of the Kambula pride be related? My question is could the prides had problems with eachother when they were all still together? The problems caused a split? I remember there was one or two lionesses that split because they had cubs sub adults maybe I think the last sub adults of the Birminghams male lions? When some of these lionesses return to the pride I think with their sub adults could there have been problems with all the lionesses in the Kambula pride when there was too many lions? Could the lionesses that returned maybe cause a split in the pride and could the pride of lionesses cause problmes, because a lioness that had 5 male cubs was not seen then 2 other lionesses an older lioness and a daughter and a sub adult were not seen.
Right now if they saw eachother the bigger pride might be aggressive towards the smaller pride but if my info is correct k2 has 2 daughters with the main pride and it still might not change how they act if they see their mothers/aunts so yeah but it was for the best to be honest too many mouths to feed if they all stayed together but they’d be stronger as a pride together
Difficult to say. Yes they generally won't be as aggressive with relatives that they know. As in the desire to eliminate rivals won't usually be there. But the original Mhangeni lionesses killed a Tsalala lioness that they had known from the pride, I think possibly even the lioness that took them away from the Majingilane males. So you never know.
