Would be interesting to see if she could come into oestrus again if she thought the cubs were dead, rather than them actually being so.

But it would actually be better for the cubs survival if they remain with the core pride. Her two breakaways sisters have both mated with the Black Dam males, so if she stuck with them the cubs would likely end up getting killed by other males. Reply
