Kambula male K6 mating with a female, probably from the same sightings of previous videos in the last couple of days

Nkorho bush lodge:
"Kambula Male lion and his female Nkuhuma partner growling and grimacing at each other during the active mating."

That's your opinion but not mine. I don't have facebook and can't see what's there. Therefore, Mapogo channel is NOT garbage.

Furthermore, it is good to have several different cites with the same video. And will be posting them until the administration/moderators instruct me not to do so.

Why criticise someone who is putting effort to share those videos on youtube, while he prob has no gain from it (money wise), except that he loves doing it?

He is literaly doing the same what we are doing here, except on different platform.

If you dont like it, dont watch it.

Good point. But he also downloads yt videos and posts, all without crediting the original authors.
I see how his channel can be good by uploading stuff on yt so who doesnt watch elsewhere can see it. But he does not provide credits to the authors and basically steal content.

Again, he doesnt credit the authors and the only good part of his channel is indeed share stuff on yt while some cant watch it on FB or IG.
But again, this effort you say say he mades, wouldn't that only take a few seconds to credit an author. Such an effort right?

@Ngonya I agree that that particular YT channel isn't the best, but as someone who doesn't have instagram I always appreciate when a YT version becomes available. As has been said, there's nothing wrong with having different mediums of the same sighting. Things previously posted on social media that were once viewable become unavailable. Instagram is particularly bad for this. You posted photos of K6 and the Imbali lioness mating, a sighting we've already seen. Isn't that kind of the same thing? And while this video was exactly the same, the YT versions are often extended, so we get to see more.

Yes that channel is innaccurate sometimes, but we often get such little footage or other actual media content of the lions we follow that we can't afford to be that picky. So if we know it is accurate, or we're able to identify the lions in the video even if it's not, I don't see the problem with posting their videos here.

Edit: Yeah the not crediting original posters is bad.

Yeah i've come to understand that more and more as time passes especially since twitter/X was banned here. Ofc its a much more extreme scenario and not just "got no account" but yeah i understand it.
The bigger point would be the channel again, never credits.

Same sighting but new footage shared today, definitly not the same.

The YT vid isnt any longer. He just uploads some screenshots in the end.

The only part of that channel i would support is indeed slme footage only roams Instagram and Facebook, him sharing on YT is helpful to who doesnt use those other platforms.
But recently he download a Tintswalo YT channel video on Red Road and just uploaded on his channel. Im almost sure thats not the first time he has done it but i would've to check, have been unsubscribed for a few months now

Ok, thats a minus, but i am pretty sure everyone of his viewers knows those are not his videos, and they dont have problem with it.

Some people just want to see lion videos, they dont open description box and look who is taking those videos, they dont care.

And as I said, its not like he is making any money from it, so it doesnt matter, as he is helping some people.

Just because his viewers dont care it doesnt mean he should/can discredit the original authors like that.
Anyways im moving on from this, the channel aint getting any better imo.

Brought all that up bc i was initially confused for how pointless it seemed to post the same video that was above.
But yeah i dont really know how Instagram works when u got no account/acess but im assuming you can't watch the embeds, so its i think its fair enough to post an yt embed so those with no IG accounts can watch it.

With all the good points made you’re now coming off as trying to create or encourage conflict.
I have no social media so I’m super stoked at the mapogo channel showing clips I would otherwise not see. To me the the channel does try to credit, usually in the description there’s a section of where the clip originated from. Mopogo isn’t monetized so they are not “profiting” off others work.

Have you nicely asked The Mopogo to try and start crediting sources better?
Anyway…this topic should end, please.

Yes, and he deleted my comments.

I also asked him at FB once where he got the Selatis x Othawa boy video.
He said "i searched alot" and i was like "???"
Some months later i started to use flickr and eventually found all that footage (by accident lol).
He just refuses to credit on purpose.
I also tried correctint some misIDs he made on his vids and he just deleted my comments, idk but i think he is not up for suggestions, at least not mine haha.

Also yeah the subject had ended hours ago, idk why u brought that up and acted like i was instigating something.

Notice how i wrote that his channel is useful for those like you who dont use IG or FB and mainly use YT in every single message of mine.
