There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
On the move! Though I’m now home from ten days in the Pantanal with these most awesome of cats, the jaguar or onça pintada as the Brazilians know them, and staying still for a few days before I set off in search of more spotted cats at #Singita next week, I’m still totally in awe and humbled by these amazing predators. This is a species that until relatively recently was never photographed in the wild and yet today in the Pantanal multiple sightings every day are possible! And not just possible, they are extremely photogenic and most appear totally relaxed in close proximity to us and our cameras as we follow them by boat as they hunt along the rivers and creeks of the Pantanal, the world’s largest wetlands.
